This is Black Label presented by RBG Carnival. Our section is a nod to the scotch brand we greatly enjoy, as well as an invitation to explore the meaning of the label “Black” in reference to people of the African Diaspora. In our 2023 portrayal we choose to claim it and highlight the attributes of power, refinement, and royalty- just like our drink of choice. We hope that our portrayal will be both inspiring and thought-provoking, and we look forward to sharing it with you.
